Mischa Lluch is a photographer and cinematographer. Fading, made between 2020 and 2025 in the South Bay of San Francisco, where he lived and worked, received Third Place in the Landscape category of the Sony World Photography Awards 2025 and has been shown at Somerset House, London, and in Milan, Tampa, Arles and Madrid.
He came to fine-art photography from cinema. He grew up on film sets in Madrid, began by assisting photographers, and worked through the camera department to become a director of photography; films and commercials he shot over twenty-five years, in more than forty countries, have been recognized at Cannes Lions, the San Sebastián International Film Festival and the Goya Awards. He is a member of the AEC, Asociación Española de Directoras y Directores de Fotografía.
He holds a Master’s from PHotoESPAÑA / La Fábrica and a Master’s in Architectural Lighting from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and divides his time between Madrid, California and Mexico City.
Mischa Lluch es fotógrafo y cinematógrafo. Fading, realizado entre 2020 y 2025 en el South Bay de San Francisco, donde vivió y trabajó, obtuvo el tercer puesto en la categoría de Paisaje de los Sony World Photography Awards 2025 y se ha expuesto en Somerset House (Londres) y en Milán, Tampa, Arlés y Madrid.
Llegó a la fotografía artística desde el cine. Creció entre rodajes en Madrid, empezó como ayudante de fotógrafos y fue ascendiendo por el departamento de cámara hasta convertirse en director de fotografía. Las películas y los anuncios que ha rodado a lo largo de veinticinco años, en más de cuarenta países, han recibido reconocimientos en Cannes Lions, el Festival Internacional de Cine de San Sebastián y los Premios Goya. Es miembro de la AEC, Asociación Española de Directoras y Directores de Fotografía.
Es máster por PHotoESPAÑA / La Fábrica y máster en Iluminación Arquitectónica por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, y reparte su tiempo entre Madrid, California y Ciudad de México.
